Hey all,
I'm back after a 2+ month absence on the blog. I'm not going to attempt to recap any of that time ... I think you all know about it!
Things are going well for us here. It was nice to have a short week to readjust to work/school/life after vacation in Sanibel. Thursday I worked from home and Emma had a normal day of school. Cyndie and Timmy did some shopping. In the afternoon the Caspari (minus Dave) came up for play time and some dinner. Friday I went in to work and Emma and Cyndie had a fun time going for Emma's first time skiing. Emma's school goes to the local ski slope every Friday in January. They get a good rate, so Cyndie went with too. The hill is pretty small, but was perfect for Emma. Em really liked it and Cyndie enjoyed it too! They plan to go again (assuming there is snow!). Timmy got to wear Grandpa D out while they were skiing.
Saturday Emma had a play date with her friend Anne and we just kind of relaxed. I ran a few errands, and we watched the snow melt! We went to Saturday evening church at Calvary. We're not really any further in our church finding process ... you can all pray for us on that one!
Sunday was slow. Amy brought the kids up again to play late morning and stayed until after dinner. The snow was pretty much gone by late afternoon. Dad and I put up the swing set in the backyard and the kids had fun swinging on that. They also (especially the big girls) had fun exploring in the woods. The finale to the visit was playing with the parachute in the basement. All the kids really enjoyed that ... thanks Grandma Cathy!
So we're back to the regular week. It's raining today. It looks like a high of (potentially) near 60 today, but then getting colder the rest of the week with possible snow over the weekend.
Adios,
Neal
