hey all, a quick report from the infirmary. this afternoon, emma stepped on a screw in the front yard. i think it was left by the granite folks after they install the countertop. anyway, cyndie said it went in about a quarter inch. it was in far enough that she wasn't able to remove it herself. she was okay right after, but fell asleep watching a movie. when she woke up, she was pretty shook up and wouldn't stop crying, so cyndie took her to urgent care. they said that cyndie took care of it properly, but that emma should get antibiotics because the wound was so deep. anyway, they just got back, two hours later, but at least emma is in much better spirits. i'm sitting next to her while she eats some dinner and watches the magic school bus. the doctor said she might not want to walk much for a couple of days, but would be otherwise fine.
