Well, we're officially back from vacation.
Monday ended up being a (largely) packing day.
Yesterday was mostly travel. We did spend a little time with Laurie and the kids. The flight went well ... we're definitely fans of the direct flight! We actually guestimated what the cost of driving would be ... gas plus food plus hotel(s) and it is at least as much as flying, minus all the aggravation of all that time in the car. Dave picked us up at the airport, then we hung out there for an hour or so before heading home. The kids hit the sack around 10p, which isn't too bad considering that was 8p west coast time.
Everyone slept in this morning until 8. Hopefully that won't screw up getting to bed around normal time tonight. Emma is already asking to schedule play dates, and the kids were pretty happy and playing well together again. I think everyone is glad to be home!
