A bit sparse, but fun is had

Hey all ... I guess I've been a bit negligent on the posting, but needless to say, we've been having fun!!

Here's the quick run down ...

Friday night was a bit interesting as Timmy kept waking up coughing. Finally Cyndie brought him into our room so he wouldn't wake Emma and noticed he was breathing kind of hard and he also had a rash. So in the end she took him to the ER. They gave him an allergy shot and a breathing treatment which seemed to clear everything up. In the end the doctor and nurses weren't really sure what happened and he's been fine since. We think part of it (the rash especially) was related to heat and being in the sun. We were out on the boat and in the sun a lot which Timmy doesn't deal very well with. On Saturday we were much more careful about keeping him in the shade (with his Daddy!).

Saturday was more boat time and skiing, this time with Gene too. It was cute/sad on Saturday morning ... Emma, who adores her big cousin Brandon (11/6th grade), wanted to go with he and his sister Alex (Chris' daughter) to swim out to the island in the lake. So we went over there with them and she had her life jacket. They jumped in and started to swim, and I jumped in, but she was just so scared to get in the cold water, but so desirous to go with them. It was cute and sad at the same time. In the end we ended up walking over to the boat at the village (about 15 minutes walk from where we were) and going with Lee and Gene (who had been working on the boat) to get Brandon and Alex. I think she made the right decision in the end as it would have been a long (and worse still cold) swim which she would not have enjoyed.

Sunday was church. We saw some folks Underwoods, Valentines, Nortons and said hi. Florence Mittendorf had a fainting incident at the end of the service (she had taken some bloodpressure medicine on an empty stomach) and a bunch of fire/paramedics came. In the end, she was fine and I spent 2 or 3 minutes talking with she and Linda. They both asked about you guys Mom and Dad. After church we went to Gene's and hung out. We BBQd and watched lots of sports (Indy 500 for Lee since he hadn't caught it live) and just relaxed. It was fun to spend time with Juli and Jena who we haven't really seen much of in the last 3 or 4 years.

Monday we basically packed up and came down the hill. Now we're staying with a friend from church, Barbara, who has a big ol' house, which is great. She so nice and accommodating. There is a playroom off the garage which is great for the kids, and space for me to work upstairs. We went to the park yesterday after dinner and hung out with the normal park crowd.

We'll be pretty busy the rest of the vacation with lots of lunches and dinners scheduled.
