Mid-Weekend*

*Is mid-weekend a word/term?

So it's kind of a lazy Sunday afternoon. Cyndie and I decided to take a nap in the basement this afternoon because it is so nice and cool!

Let's back up a few steps. Friday afternoon we decided last minute to go down to Dave and Amy's for an overnight. It was very fun and relaxing. We kept the siblings together for sleeping, and that seemed to work a lot better than when we let the boys and the girls sleep together. We took a couple of walks, played in the sand pile, walked through the model homes, and went to a park (where Dave and I played frisbee golf, you'll have to ask Dave what we each shot*). All in all a good trip. We came home last night after dinner and put the kids right to bed. We watched a couple of episodes of Newsradio on the internet, and then hit the sack early ourselves.

*Okay, you twisted my arm, I shot a 66 and Dave a 90!

Today was church, then we ran over to Pell Lake (a little village near by) to pick up some plants that Cyndie got off freecycle. Then we went to the church potluck at Covenant Harbor's boat house right on the lake. Emma and I even played kickball! We also did a tour of the camp's new activity center ... very nice.

So that's the weekend. We have a big week ahead with lots of "last-week-of-school" activities for Emma and Laura, Gow, and Sally visiting all while we get ready for our CA trip (leaving Saturday).
