We're in Fountain Valley! Here's a quick recap of the last several days ...
Saturday we went down around 9 am to Dave and Amy's (Laura and Gow and Sally went too). They left around 1 pm and then we stayed until around 4 when Dave drove us to the airport. The flight was pretty smooth. Timmy slept quite a bit on the plane, which was good because we didn't get to the hotel until around 11 or after.
Then, of course, the kids woke up around 5:30 the next morning! We did breakfast with Fred and Cathy (they were in the same hotel) and then went to our old church ... a lot of fun to see everyone! Lunch was with Jim and Laurie, and we hung out a bit before heading to Josh's wedding at about 4. We rode with Paul and Cara (Josh works indirectly for Paul) and spent much of the wedding hanging out with them. The wedding was on a boat in the Newport Harbor. The kids stayed with Jim and Laurie.
Yesterday we mostly just hung out with different people. It's been really nice. Mark and Monique, our good friends who were the associate pastor/wife at church here and moved to Texas to start a church, are also here visiting and are staying with other friends from church (Chad and Julia) literally 5 doors down the street (from Jim and Laurie's where we're staying). So the kids have been able to hang out a lot (Macy was probably Emma's best friend here).
That's it for now. Tonight is a big BBQ bash with lots of friends and then we head up the hill to spend some time with Lee, Kim, Brandon, and Gene Wednesday to Sunday/Monday.
