Happy Birthday USA!

Hey all, we're in the middle of a bit of downtime before we head to the Fourth of July party at a friend's house.

We've had a full 4th weekend thus far, starting Wednesday afternoon when my Uncle John and Auntie Diane visited from KC. We always have fun just hanging out with them. The Casparis came up for the afternoon and dinner since they hadn't seen Dave and Amy since Laura's wedding! Thursday morning we spent a couple of hours out at the vegetable farm that we get veggies from ... Larsens have 7 acres and were interested in seeing what Farmer Katie does with her land. Yesterday afternoon Cyndie and the kids went to the LG beach with friends from down the street Breanna (mom), Cole (Emma's age), and Olivia (2 years older than Emma). I got a bit of work in in the afternoon. Jane got here late last night and the kids enjoyed occupying her time all morning. We had a big breakfast, and then I worked on the Dragon's Lair while Jane and the kids played outside and Cyndie worked on burning some trash wood and trying to clean up some of the weeds over there. It looks good. I added another platform, a shorter slide, the rock climbing wall, and a walkway/ladder from the new platform to the shorter of the existing platforms.

Now we're headed off to the party ... I checked the e-vite for directions and there are 52 RSVPs (meaning up to 52 families coming). It should be a big bash!

Happy Birthday USA!
