Midweek

So it's been a rather dreary week ... a bit of rain, some cloudy skies. Today looks to be a bit nicer ... up into the mid to upper 50s with some sun! I guess we're hitting the moisture of spring, and with that moisture comes cloudy skies! As I drive to work, I'm noticing the grass starting to green up. There are folks out on the golf courses. It won't be long before the brown, leafless trees start to show their leaves, and then everything will change very quickly ... summer!

Life's been pretty normal this week. The usual work, school, swim lessons, etc. Cyndie got some great news when a client of hers told her that he is planning to use her for all his graphic design related projects. That was pretty exciting. He's a guy from church who represents a non-profit organization (Harbor/Point) which raises awareness and funds for two Covenant camps nearby. It's awesome when work kind of falls into Cyndie's lap, because then she doesn't have to go looking for it (obviously), and also because that's one of her least favorite things to do ... drum up work. She's also got another good contact for more possible work. When she called a printer yesterday to get an estimate on a print job, after a bit of conversation, she got invited to bring in her resume/portfolio as the company is interested in expanding its services to include graphic design. The company has also been trying to get Harbor/Point as a client for a while, so the fact that Cyndie was calling on their behalf can't hurt her prospects!
