It's Friday, and I think we're all ready for the weekend. Work went fine for me yesterday and the family survived without me. The big excitement on the home front was the receiving of a flu shot by Cyndie, Emma, and Timmy. Emma had (as per the usual) a cow when the needle came out and it took Cyndie and two nurses to hold her down. I'm not quite sure where her fear of needles has come from. She hasn't had any really bad experiences in the past. Oh well.
The excitement for today includes another day at the office for me as well as a field trip for Emma to the local Petco. There they're going to learn about animals and taking care of them, etc. Cyndie is a chaperon, and Timmy (who was originally going to stay home with me) is going over to his friend Lukas' house. He was pretty excited when he heard that. "Is it just going to be me" (meaning no mom and/or dad)? So it should be a fun day for all.
