Halloween Season is on ...

We had a nice, productive weekend and now we're in the swing of Halloween season.

The kids were great on Saturday ... the weather was really nice (low 60s) ... and so they spent a good 5 or 6 hours outside playing in their leaf fort and running around in the yard and woods. Cyndie and I used the time to finish up the garage cleanup (we had a few things left to move elsewhere), cleaned up in the yard (especially restacking excess building supplies under tarps for the winter) and burned a big pile of branches that needed getting rid of. We also played some baseball and just kind of hung out too.

Yesterday we were invited to the Covenant Harbor Fall Fest (I'm not actually sure what they called it). It was a potluck dinner and then games and candy for the kids in their new activity center. It was a lot of fun, and the kids really enjoyed it. It was really nice for Harbor to do that for their employees (and more specifically for their employee's kids), and also nice for us and a few other "para-family" members to be invited. Timmy won a big jar of candy for correctly guessing the number (85) of candies in the jar. Emma played every game at least 2 or 3 times. It was a lot of fun!

The rest of the week should keep us busy ... school, work (I'm up at the office again today, and will be on Thursday again at a minimum), classes, and other special events (more Halloween fun, Cyndie's hosting a ladies kids clothing exchange at the house tonight).
