The Week Begins

So it's another Monday, and it looks like a busy one. The "barrage" of friends continues with Cole and Olivia from down the street coming over after school until their mom and dad get home from work. Cyndie is doing her second session as the recess monitor at Emma's school, we have art class, and then there are the normal chores around the house and oh, of course working!

We had a nice Saturday/Sunday. Sarah, Ben, and Kristi were here much of the day on Saturday. The kids have all really found their niche with eachother and there is much less conflict/crying/fighting. We ended up going to Pearce's Farm (where Timmy's class had gone a week and a half ago) to play on the hay bale castle and go in the corn maze. We stopped at the Williams Bay part for a half hour on the way home and ran into some friends there. Sunday was church, and then we hung out with some friends for a couple of hours in the after noon. All in all, a fairly routine weekend.

Cyndie and I decided that with it getting colder, and the fall being here, and all, we should probably prioritize our chores so as to make sure that we have our outside projects done before winter comes! So that means that over the next couple of weeks, we want to get the rock that Cyndie found laid out into a patio-ish thing (temporary for the next year or two), get all the wood that's left from the Dragon's Lair stacked nicely and put under a tarp, and get the garage cleaned out and straightened up so that we can put both of the cars in it. Excitement!

On the kid front, it's been really fun to watch Emma rapidly learning to read. It's amazing how quickly that goes when they are spending a full day at school. Timmy has been wanting to play soccer a lot lately which is especially fun for me. He's really pretty darn good at kicking the ball accurately, and his personality is such that he's 100% happy just kicking the ball back and forth for a long time. I think he'll really enjoy being on a team, so we'll probably try for that next spring.
